convulsiones. Se usan peque\u00f1os discos met\u00e1licos llamados electrodos que son colocados directamente sobre el cuero cabelludo. El video EEG se puede hacer justo antes o durante la admisi\u00f3n al centro de epilepsia.\u00a0 Una vez que sea admitido en el centro, su actividad cerebral ser\u00e1 monitoreada por unos d\u00edas usando grabaciones con c\u00e1maras de video m\u00e1s el EEG para as\u00ed poder observar los movimientos de su cuerpo durante las convulsiones. Si es necesario, estos movimientos pueden ser inducidos reduciendo o suspendiendo sus medicamentos bajo la supervisi\u00f3n del m\u00e9dico o especialista.<\/p>\n<p>Las grabaciones del video-electroencefalograma se llevar\u00e1n a cabo en la unidad de monitoreo de epilepsia (o EMU, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s). Este tinte llamado medio de contraste ayuda a detectar y clasificar anomal\u00edas o a marcar los vasos sangu\u00edneos.<\/p>\n<p>Para esta prueba, la persona debe acostarse en una mesa que se desplaza dentro de un tubo o esc\u00e1ner, luego la m\u00e1quina toma las im\u00e1genes de las estructuras del cerebro que son resaltadas con el medio de contraste.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n
